Grading Syllabus

North Star Martial Arts offers both an Adults and a children's Kickboxing grading syllabus to its students.
As you progress through the syllabus' as either a child or an adult you will also learn the various ways to train these techniques on a fully matted training area, complete with brand new top of the range equipment to use.
You will learn how to hold and use focus mitts, Thai pads, Kick shields, body protectors, Heavy punch bags, Kick paddles etc.
You will also learn a vast array of different stretches that will help develop your body not only for this martial art but also for quality of life through mobility in general.
Both syllabus' have the following belts. Neither syllabus has any tags at all. You are either the standard or you are not its simple. Students are only asked to grade when the instructors agree that they have reached the correct level to attempt it.
The standard of martial arts and the standard of martial artist is what's most important to us above all else.
The belts are:
The grading's after Black belt are not foregone conclusions. They get harder, more is required and you also have to prove that as a belt of this level you are not just repeating what you have been taught but that you are creating new combinations, new training methods and new practices in order for the art itself, yourself and your students to grow.
You will never stop learning.
Our grading syllabus is approved by the British Martial Arts and Boxing Association so you can be sure that all of our standards and practices are of the highest level.
