Grading Syllabus
NSMA offers both an Adults and a children's Kickboxing & Shootboxing grading syllabus to its students.
As you progress through the syllabus' as either a child or an adult you will also learn the various ways to train these techniques on a fully matted training area, complete with brand new top of the range equipment to use.
You will learn how to hold and use focus mitts, Thai pads, Kick shields, body protectors, Heavy punch bags, Kick paddles etc.
You will also learn a vast array of different stretches that will help develop your body not only for this martial art but also for quality of life through mobility in general.
Students are only asked to grade when the instructors agree that they have reached the correct level to attempt the process.
The standard of martial arts and the standard of martial artist is what's most important to us above all else.
The gradings feature individual techniques & combinations for both striking & in the clinch.
These are performed on pads, bags or with partners in drill format. Sparring must be completed for every belt level along with the required fitness work. Each grading is more demanding than the last ensuring that as a practitioner you have a clear progression in every area of your performance as you advance in your training.
The grading's after Black belt are not foregone conclusions. They get harder, more is required and you also have to prove that as a belt of this level you are not just repeating what you have been taught but that you are creating new combinations, new training methods and new practices in order for the art itself, yourself and your students to grow.
You will never stop learning.
Our grading syllabus is approved by both the British Martial Arts and Boxing Association & the UK Shootboxing Association so you can be sure that all of our standards and practices are of the highest level.
