SVT (Standing Vale Tudo) Knockdown
SVT Knockdown is a combination of Shootboxing & Kyokushin Karate.
It is a combat sport born in Derbyshire UK and draws fighters from all styles from all over the country to compete in its tournaments and singles matches.
It is the most open ruleset for striking based martial arts available.
It features:
Striking techniques such as punches, elbows, knees, kicks, headbutts, palm strikes, hammer fists & other open handed techniques.
Throws, takedowns, trips, sweeps and slamming techniques along with takedown defence.
Standing submissions involving choking techniques, wrist locks, arm locks and shoulder locks both with and without the use of the uniform.
You can catch both kicks and knees leading into unlimited striking or takedowns.
You can hold onto the persons themselves or their uniform and strike for unlimited amounts of time provided you are working the referee will not split you and restart you.
It is a highly practical form of unarmed self defence training as well as an exciting, fresh new combat sport format.
SVT Knockdown is registered and insured with The British Martial Arts & Boxing Association and also The UK Shootboxing Association..

Basic equipment required for sparring:
SVT Knockdown Gi or Karate/Judo Gi
Shin & instep pads
Groin guard
MMA gloves
Head guard with face covering
Chest Guard (female participants)
NO equipment is required to begin training at your first class.
